Data Engineer
PHC Global Software Engineering, Data Science Remote Posted on Aug 26, 2026 PHC Global is hiring a Data Engineer to build and own our biosurveillance and public health data ingestion and transformation pipelines. We work with wastewater digital Polymerase Chain Reaction (dPCR) and sequencing results, epidemiological signals, and other biothreat data. You will be a foundational owner of data reliability as PHC Global scales its biodefense programs. You will work alongside PHC Global's data scientists, epidemiologists, software engineers, front-line disease controllers, and national security practitioners to turn raw, messy, real-world data into something the rest of the company can build on, and you will represent data reliability credibly when engineering leadership and government partners ask hard questions about it. This is a hands-on, build-and-own role for someone who wants to establish pipeline ownership at a company still setting the standard for how that gets done. PHC Global is an AI-forward organization. You will be expected to use AI agents and modern tooling to operate at a scale traditional data engineering does not allow, with your judgment governing every output.
