We are looking for a Data Engineer to help advance enterprise reporting, analytics, and data modernization efforts in Jacksonville, Florida. This Long-term Contract position will focus on building reliable data workflows, strengthening data quality, and turning complex information into practical insights for business teams. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining data engineering expertise with business intelligence capabilities to create scalable, high-value solutions. Must be located in Jacksonville, FL.

Responsibilities:

• Build and support end-to-end data integration workflows using Azure Data Factory to move and transform information from multiple business systems.
• Improve data reliability by performing validation, cleansing, and quality checks that promote consistency and accuracy across reporting sources.
• Create and refine Power BI dashboards, visual reports, and analytics tools that help stakeholders make informed decisions.
• Develop efficient data models and structured datasets that meet operational reporting and business intelligence needs.
• Investigate pipeline failures, reporting discrepancies, and data issues, then implement timely solutions to restore performance and accuracy.
• Partner with business users and cross-functional teams to understand reporting goals and translate them into practical data solutions.
• Maintain reporting platforms, databases, and warehouse structures to support ongoing analytics and enterprise data usage.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and automated routines that strengthen reporting and analytical processes.
• Document data movement, transformation logic, technical configurations, and business rules to support transparency and maintainability.
• Contribute to sound data governance practices by supporting secure, well-managed, and standards-driven data operations.
