Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Data Engineer to join our team and drive the development of scalable data solutions. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and architectures that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. Your expertise will enable seamless integration of diverse data sources, optimize data storage, and facilitate advanced analytics to unlock valuable insights. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure efficient data flow from various sources such as AWS, Azure Data Lake, and on-premises systems. Build and optimize large-scale data warehouses utilizing technologies like Hadoop, Apache Hive, Spark, and Microsoft SQL Server to support analytics and reporting needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions using Python, Java, Shell Scripting, Bash (Unix shell), and VBA. Develop RESTful APIs for seamless data integration and access across platforms. Implement data modeling techniques for database design that support high-performance analytics and looker dashboards. Perform model training and analysis to support predictive analytics initiatives. Ensure data quality, security, and compliance by adhering to best practices in database management and cloud security protocols on AWS and Azure. Participate actively in Agile development cycles to deliver iterative improvements rapidly while maintaining high standards of code quality. Qualifications Proven experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure Data Lake for scalable storage solutions. Strong proficiency in SQL programming with extensive experience in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or similar relational databases. Hands-on knowledge of big data technologies including Hadoop ecosystem components (Hadoop, Spark, Hive). Skilled in ETL tools like Informatica or Talend for efficient data pipeline development. Familiarity with Looker or other BI tools for creating insightful dashboards. Programming expertise in Python and Java for automation, scripting, and model training tasks. Experience with database design principles for data warehouses supporting complex analytics. Knowledge of Shell Scripting (Bash), VBA, RESTful APIs, and analysis skills to streamline workflows. Ability to work within Agile teams while managing multiple priorities effectively. $112,873.84 - $135,934.08 per year
