Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in SQL, Python, Snowflake, Pyspark and AWS. In this role, you will design and maintain robust, cloud-native data pipelines in Snowflake , drive legacy-to-modern data platform migrations, and ensure financial data integrity across all reporting systems. Beyond core data engineering, you will play a hands-on role in end-to-end delivery-translating business requirements into Agile execution, managing project timelines, and driving technical operational readiness.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain cloud-native data pipelines and data lake architectures in Snowflake. Develop and manage scalable, automated ETL/ELT workflows to efficiently ingest, transform, and curate data from diverse structured and unstructured sources. Support the end-to-end migration from legacy systems to a modern data platform, including complex data mapping, transformation logic development, and architecture alignment. Support advanced analytics and reporting use cases by implementing data cleaning, de-duplication, reconciliation, validation, and strict financial data integrity checks. Break down high-level business requirements into actionable Epics and User Stories within Jira. Support project planning, timeline estimation, risk mitigation, and cross-functional team coordination. Assist with integration testing, cutover planning, and go-live readiness to ensure smooth deployment. Partner closely with business, finance, and operations teams to align stakeholders and ensure seamless operational adoption of the new platform.

Skills Required:

5+ years of expert-level SQL experience (writing complex queries, CTEs, advanced window functions, conditional logic, complex joins, and performance optimization). 5+ years of professional Python development experience processing complex datasets efficiently and automating workflows using Pandas, Polars, or equivalent data libraries. Hands-on experience designing and optimizing cloud-native data warehouses/datalakes, specifically Snowflake .

Modern Data Pipelines:

Proven experience building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable ETL/ELT workflows and data pipelines. Financial Industry Experience Preferred. Demonstrated success managing full lifecycle project delivery, driving requirements from design and build to testing and deployment. Exceptional communication and change management skills, with a track record of bridging the gap between technical teams and business leadership.
