No Sponsorship The A.C.Coy Company has an immediate need for a Data Engineer. In this role, you will architect, build, and own this transformation end-to-end. Responsibilities You will be the founding data engineer on this initiative. You will design and implement pipelines that unify data from 7 operational source systems Design, build and operate reliable ELT ingestion pipelines using Airbyte / Fivetran or similar to pull data from all 7 operational sources into Snowflake Bronze on a nightly schedule Build and maintain dbt staging models (Silver layer) that clean, deduplicate, and standardise data from all 7 sources into consistent schemas Establish and enforce data contracts for each source domain — agreed schemas, null rates, acceptable value ranges, and freshness SLAs Design and maintain the internal operational database Build and maintain FastAPI endpoints that serve Snowflake Gold data to our internal React application — customer views, pipeline dashboards, inventory risk, margin reports Collaborate with the engineering team to decouple legacy Azure SQL Managed Instance dependencies and migrate data to the new Snowflake-native environment Own the end-to-end dashboard layer: from Gold model design through to published, production-grade dashboards consumed by executive and operational stakeholders
Qualifications Education:
Degree required- if no degree, then 7+ years' of experience This is a high-ownership, high-impact role. You will work directly with engineering and business leadership to define the data strategy, not just execute tasks. 3- 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer with the following: Snowflake Deep hands-on experience with schema design, warehouse sizing, clustering, time travel, and cost management. dbt core Production experience with modular models, macros, packages, and incremental materialization. ELT Experience configuring and operating Airbyte / Fivetran or similar (or equivalent) for multi-source ingestion Data Warehouse/Data Lakes Azure/Cloud Practical experience with Azure SQL Managed Instance, Storage, and DevOps pipelines Python Strong Python for Data Sync Jobs, API clients, and FastAPI development Reporting- Tableau or PowerBI
