Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate is for designing, building, and optimizing scalable cloud-based data platforms, pipelines, and analytics solutions to support enterprise data initiatives.
Rate Range:
$55/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Data Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions to support enterprise analytics and business requirements. Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and curation processes using GCP services, Python, SQL, Kafka, and BigQuery. Develop and manage data platforms, including data lakes, data warehouses, and modern cloud data architectures for structured and unstructured data. Implement data governance, security controls, and best practices to ensure data quality, compliance, and reliability. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data platform performance, scalability, and operational efficiency across cloud environments. Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Cloud Data Platforms, and Big Data solution development. Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, Cloud Run, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Kafka, Python, and SQL. Proven expertise in designing scalable data pipelines, cloud data architectures, data lakes/data warehouses, and enterprise-grade analytics solutions. Pay Details:
