Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, standard business hours. Remote candidates will be considered, with preference for local candidates who can work a hybrid schedule.

About The Company:
Our client is a large enterprise organization within the energy and utilities industry, focused on leveraging modern data, analytics, and technology solutions to support business operations and decision-making. We are seeking a Staff Data Engineer with experience in SQL, Power BI, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, data pipelines, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and business intelligence . This position will help develop and maintain enterprise data solutions that support reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data engineering and business intelligence concepts, experience working across multiple data platforms, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain reliable data pipelines supporting enterprise reporting and analytics. Create and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models . Utilize Microsoft Fabric tools and capabilities, including dataflows and Lakehouse environments. Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reporting. Support Snowflake data warehouse solutions, including data modeling and integration. Maintain ETL/ELT processes across multiple systems and data sources. Identify and resolve issues related to data quality, transformations, pipelines, and reporting . Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and develop appropriate technical solutions. Document data definitions, business rules, data lineage, and technical processes. Contribute to modernization efforts involving cloud data platforms, analytics, automation, and AI technologies .
Qualifications:
Experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Business Intelligence , or a related field. Strong knowledge of SQL and relational data. Experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models . Familiarity with Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouse technologies. Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric or similar modern analytics platforms. Understanding of ETL/ELT, data integration, data pipelines, and data modeling . Experience troubleshooting data and reporting issues. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with SAP data is preferred. Experience within the utility, energy, or oil & gas industry is a plus. Exposure to AI, Microsoft Copilot, Snowflake AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, or intelligent automation is beneficial.
Additional Details:
Start date: When filled. Interviews will be conducted virtually. The interview process is expected to be straightforward. Remote candidates will be considered. Local candidates may have the opportunity to work on a hybrid schedule. This position is geared toward candidates with strong hands-on experience but does not require every technology listed above.
