Northbrook, Illinois, United States Job Description Traveling:

At least twice per year for quarterly reviews and company-wide meeting/training at headquarters, which is usually 2-4 days long per meeting. (Various worksites) Telecommuting required; may reside anywhere in the U.S. Multiple positions available. Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data reporting requirements, translating these requirements into technical specifications and developing data models and reports that provide insightful information. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, finance, and operations, to understand different data needs. Communicate complex data concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders effectively, ensuring clarity and actionable outcomes. Create detailed and dynamic reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or other reporting tools. Develop dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate data insights to stakeholders, ensuring they are tailored to meet business objectives. Write, review, and optimize SQL code to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing. Improve query performance by analyzing execution plans, indexing, and refining existing SQL scripts for speedy execution. Reverse engineer existing data models to identify areas for optimization and modification based on evolving business requirements. Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations. Use statistical tools and techniques to interpret data and generate meaningful insights that drive decision-making. Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses or databases. Ensure ETL processes are efficient, reliable, and scalable to support data integration and reporting needs; monitoring ETL workflows and troubleshoot issues to ensure timely and accurate data availability. Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and technologies in data analysis and big data. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance data maintenance and reporting. Automate data validation and quality checks to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data and eliminating the need of manual, time consuming processes.
