Job Description:

Jr./Mid-Level Data Engineer Remote (Utah only for the start if search) Contract-to-Hire (6 months)

Pay Rate:

Job Description:

An organization is looking to bring on a Data Engineer to support their internal data initiatives. This role will be focused on developing and improving data pipelines, supporting cloud-based data platforms, and helping ensure data is accessible and reliable for reporting and business use. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with strong SQL and cloud experience who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and contributing to ongoing improvements in data processes.

Required Skills:

• 2-5 years of experience working with data systems, databases, or related technologies
• Strong SQL experience, including query development, optimization, and troubleshooting
• Experience working within cloud environments such as AWS, including services like relational databases and data warehouses
• Experience building, maintaining, or enhancing data pipelines and workflows
• Familiarity with data integration, validation, and performance tuning concepts
• Ability to partner with internal teams to support data-related needs
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in a remote, team-oriented environment Bonus /

Soft Skills:

• Exposure to additional cloud platforms such as Azure
• Experience with other database technologies like SQL Server
• Familiarity with ETL processes or data integration concepts
• Strong documentation habits and process improvement mindset
• Self-motivated with a sense of ownership
