NS2 Mission seeking a Data Engineer to join a growing, collaborative team in Chantilly, VA, focused on building and maintaining scalable data pipelines in a cloud-based environment. This role is best suited for someone with a strong foundation in Python and ETL development who is looking to expand their experience with modern cloud and infrastructure tools. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines and data workflows Write clean, production-quality Python code to support data processing and transformation Support data ingestion, transformation, and validation to ensure high data quality Work within AWS-based environments to support scalable data solutions Collaborate with team members across engineering and product in an Agile setting Troubleshoot data issues and improve pipeline performance and reliability Required Qualifications 4-8 years of experience in data engineering or related field (Full Performance level) Strong hands-on experience with the ETL lifecycle (design, development, and maintenance) Proficiency in Python for data processing and pipeline development Experience working in cloud environments (AWS preferred: EC2, Lambda, EKS, etc.) Experience working in Agile development environments Preferred Qualifications Exposure to workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and improve data quality What We're Looking For A strong Python/ETL-focused engineer who can contribute quickly to data pipeline development Someone comfortable working as part of a collaborative, multi-person team A candidate who is eager to grow into cloud, containerization, and infrastructure tooling over time
