In this role, you will support enterprise reporting, advanced analytics, and future AI use cases while establishing and evolving modern data platform capabilities. This is a highly technical role that sits at the intersection of data architecture, platform engineering, and cross-functional collaboration. There will be a strong emphasis on data quality, governance, and delivering reliable, well-governed data to downstream consumers. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field required; Master's degree preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Minimum 5-7 years of progressively responsible data engineering experience, including designing and supporting scalable data pipelines, transformation workflows, and modern cloud-based data platforms. Strong proficiency in Python and SQL required; experience with Apache Spark and other data ingestion and orchestration tools strongly preferred. Experience with distributed data processing frameworks and cloud-based data platforms; Databricks strongly preferred. Solid understanding of data integration patterns, batch and near-real-time processing, change data capture, and data quality controls. Experience implementing data governance frameworks including access controls, lineage tracking, validation, and monitoring practices. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, storage, and deployment concepts; platform-specific certification (e.g.,
Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional, Microsoft Certified:
Fabric Data Engineer Associate) a plus. Experience in financial services, banking, or credit union environments strongly preferred. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear communication for non-technical stakeholders.
