This contract opportunity offers the chance to build and maintain reporting and data solutions that help drive meaningful business decisions. Responsibilities Design, develop, and support data solutions that provide timely and structured access to information Build and maintain dashboards, reports, analyses, and recurring metrics for business stakeholders Develop and support data models, metadata structures, and analytic platforms using third-party and in-house tools Optimize SQL queries and application performance using profiling and tuning techniques Partner with business teams to understand reporting and analytical needs and turn requirements into solutions Work with large, complex datasets to identify patterns, surface trends, and support operational decisions Contribute to ETL pipelines and data warehousing processes in a complex environment Skills 7+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field 5+ years of hands-on experience with complex SQL Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL pipeline development Proficiency in at least one modern scripting or programming language such as Python, Java, Scala, or Node.js Strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively with large datasets Ability to collaborate directly with business partners and translate requirements into practical solutions Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, information technology, or a related field Preferred Skills Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Tableau or Quicksuite Familiarity with AWS services such as Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Firehose, Lambda, and IAM Experience working with non-relational data stores such as object storage, document databases, key-value stores, graph databases, or column-family databases Understanding of software engineering best practices, including code reviews, source control, testing, and deployment processes Background in business intelligence, software engineering, or data science with a focus on extracting value from data Horizontal Talent is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where diverse perspectives are valued and everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
