Arthrex is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Arthrex is actively seeking a Power Platform & Copilot Governance Specialist who works directly with IT, Security, Compliance, Risk, Architecture, and business departments across Arthrex. The Power Platform & Copilot Governance Specialist will drive the governance, administration, and operational oversight of Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and enterprise Agents. Arthrex's governance program seeks to enable secure, compliant, and scalable adoption of low-code and AI-powered solutions while ensuring alignment with organizational standards and objectives. As the Power Platform & Copilot Governance Specialist, you will own the governance framework for Apps, Flows, Copilots, and Agents, including policies, standards, lifecycle management, monitoring, reporting, and operational controls. You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to establish governance processes that balance innovation with security, compliance, and operational excellence. A key focus of this role will be enabling the responsible adoption of enterprise Agents by defining governance standards for security, ownership, data access, compliance, and lifecycle management. Communication with global departments, technical and non-technical partners, and managers at all levels will be a part of the job. Effectiveness of this communication, the ability to build trusted relationships, and strong organizational and stakeholder management skills will drive your success. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, process-driven, and passionate about creating structure, transparency, and scalable governance while supporting business enablement and innovation. A Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience will be required. Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, governance frameworks, security and compliance controls, monitoring, reporting, and operational administration will be essential for this position.

Main Objective:

Governance professionals in this design, establish, and continuously improve the governance frameworks, standards, guardrails, control objectives, and assurance mechanisms that keep Arthrex data, low-code, Copilot, and Custom AI solutions secure, compliant, observable, and trustworthy. The focus is enabling responsible adoption and business value at scale by translating security, compliance, and architecture requirements into practical technical and operational controls rather than paperwork. . The family follows a governance-by-design model: governance defines what must be true and how compliance is demonstrated, while accountable platform, product, and solution owners retain responsibility for technical implementation and operation. Where a specific governance position is also assigned operational responsibility for a defined platform or capability, those implementation duties should be stated explicitly in the individual job description. This job family spans the full governance lifecycle, from framework design and registration of new assets through monitoring, auditing, and continuous improvement, across three connected focus areas. Data Governance covers the COE analytics ecosystem, including governance of Enterprise Data Warehouse and Data Platform capabilities, Enterprise Data Products, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI. The Data Governance role owns, develops, and communicates the Data Governance Program Strategy for the data analytics layer across the enterprise. Power Platform and Copilot Governance covers Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and enterprise Agents AI Governance & Secure Delivery covers governance of Custom AI platforms and secure delivery practices, including control requirements and assurance for

CI/CD, LLM

Ops, and delivery automation. All these roles collaborate across IT, Security, Compliance, Risk Management, Architecture, and business teams to manage the seams where governed data feeds apps, agents, and AI.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Design, establish, and continuously improve governance frameworks, policies, standards, guardrails, control objectives, and assurance mechanisms for the data, low-code, Copilot, and Custom AI platforms in scope

Govern the full lifecycle of platform assets, including data products, apps, flows, Copilots, agents, and AI components, from onboarding and ownership through monitoring, support, and retirement

Translate security, compliance, risk management, and architecture requirements into governance requirements, control objectives, acceptance criteria, and assurance expectations, partnering with accountable platform and delivery teams on technical implementation

Establish and oversee access, data handling, auditability, and responsible use control requirements that protect Arthrex while enabling delivery

Manage metadata, lineage, cataloging, data dictionaries, and data quality, and champion data stewardship, so that governed information stays discoverable and trustworthy across domains

Define and maintain governance monitoring, auditing, reporting, and KPIs that give clear visibility into usage, adoption, cost, risk, quality, business value, and compliance

Clarify ownership at the seams between data governance, platform governance, and AI governance to avoid both gaps and overlapping responsibilities

Enable responsible adoption by promoting high-value use cases and running enablement, workshops, and training, while managing operational, security, and compliance risk

Drive governance maturity through automation, standardization, and continuous improvement in partnership with accountable platform and delivery teams

Collaborate with IT, Security, Compliance, Risk, Architecture, and business stakeholders to align governance with enterprise objectives

Create and maintain governance documentation, standards, runbooks, and operational procedures

Adhere to the

Quality System Procedure and Change Control Skills & Experience:

Experience designing and implementing governance, security, and compliance controls in enterprise environments

Strong knowledge of the Microsoft cloud ecosystem, including Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, and Microsoft 365

Understanding of modern data and AI platforms such as Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, and Custom AI or generative AI stacks.

Hands-on experience with monitoring, auditing, reporting, and operational oversight of platforms or solutions

Experience building governance or operational controls that scale across multiple solutions, teams, and environments

Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical, compliance, and business boundaries and influence without direct authority

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

Support well-scoped governance tasks, including governance findings tracking, evidence collection, and updates to assigned governance records.

Assist with onboarding assets into established governance processes and collecting required registration information.

Help operate governance support activities such as access reviews, audit checklists, and follow-up tracking under the guidance of senior colleagues.

Contribute to documentation, control testing, and issue tracking for governance activities across data, low-code, Copilot, and AI solutions

Learn and apply established governance frameworks, Power Platform Center of Excellence practices, and responsible AI control concepts as relevant to assigned work.

Collaborate with platform teams and asset owners to apply governance without blocking delivery

Mentor junior governance colleagues through guidance, reviews, and coaching

Specialized Skills:

At least 1 year of experience in Power Platform or Microsoft 365 administration and policy configuration

Willingness to learn the tools, frameworks, and standards required by the role

Certifications in cloud, data, security, or Power Platform are a plus

Hands on experience with governance tooling in a focus area, such as data cataloging and lineage tools, the Power Platform Center of Excellence toolkit and Managed Environments, or CI/CD and infrastructure as code basics

Experience producing audit, compliance, usage, and licensing reporting

Understanding of security and compliance controls such as role-based access, data loss prevention, and data classification

Familiarity with modern governance workflows including approvals, lifecycle management, and monitoring

Strong command of governance frameworks and controls, with deep expertise in at least one focus area

Power Platform Administration and Center of Excellence, Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Agent governance, tenant and environment strategy, DLP, and Application Lifecycle Management

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, and Microsoft 365 as the shared control plane

Understanding of responsible AI, AI risk, and model and data governance for non-deterministic systems

Experience defining and running control, audit, and evaluation processes for quality, compliance, and reliability

Education/ Experience:

Bachelor's degree required

5+ years relevant experience
