UST is searching for a highly skilled Data Analyst with strong expertise in data analytics, business intelligence, and big data platforms to support data-driven decision-making across stakeholders.The opportunity:
- Design, develop, and maintain Looker dashboards, LookerML models, and KPI frameworks to support business objectives.
- Write complex and optimized queries using SQL, Advanced SQL, PL/SQL, and PySpark for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Monitor and maintain data quality metrics, perform root-cause analysis, and drive resolution of data issues.
- Use Python for: o Data analysis and transformation o Data validation and reconciliation o Basic automation and scripting
- Work within the Big Data ecosystem including Spark, Hadoop, PySpark, Kafka.
- Track requirements, defects, and enhancements using JIRA and HP ALM.
What you need:
- Programming & Query Languages
- Strong expertise in SQL (Advanced SQL)
- Proficiency in Python and PySpark
- Analytics & Visualization
- Hands-on experience with Looker (LookerML), Power BI, and Tableau
- Strong understanding of KPI design and business metrics
- Data Engineering & Processing
- Experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Delta Lake
- Familiarity with Data Lakehouse architectures
- Strong data quality, data reconciliation, and validation skills
- Big Data & Cloud Platforms
- Experience with Spark, Hadoop, Kafka
- Cloud exposure across:
- Azure
- AWS (Glue, S3, Redshift)
- GCP (BigQuery, Google Data Studio)
- Databases
- Azure
