Job Description
Job Overview The primary focus of the Data & Reporting Analyst is the development and enhancement of reporting capabilities across various analytical and data management tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau). This position is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and validating new dashboards and reports. The Data & Reporting Analyst provides support to colleagues with various ad hoc analyses designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of each department. Responsible for the implementation of a stable, scalable data integration pipeline bringing together priority sources (SQL + SaaS/APIs/files). Duties include database management, data validation, operational reporting, executive dashboards, and training system users to foster a data-driven culture. Duties Partner with business stakeholders to define KPIs, data definitions, and reporting requirements Provide executive team with monthly/quarterly/annual reports and dashboards Analyze current operational processes and performance metrics to identify opportunities for automated workflows Streamline and/or automate internal and external reporting Communicate with the leadership team to determine efficiency, client requirements, specific account issues, and insight into the business Assist site operations in identifying areas for improving service, reducing operational costs, and providing other operational enhancements Optimize performance across pipelines, data models & reports (incremental refresh, aggregations, query tuning) Design and build a hybrid analytics platform that integrates on-prem and cloud data sources to deliver operational reporting and executive dashboards Develop and publish Power BI datasets/models with governance (certified datasets, naming standards, versioning) Build ETL/ELT pipelines (ADF/SSIS and/or equivalent) with monitoring, alerting, and error handling Implement security controls (Azure AD/Entra, RLS, workspace strategy) and ensure compliance with data policies Execute and maintain basic financial analyses including cost benefit analyses and cost estimates to provide business partners with financial impact information to make business decisions Partner with Accounting and HR to develop financial models to analyze productivity and payroll costs Assist with new facility start-up projects as needed Participate in management meetings Work collaboratively with IT staff and the Support Services Team to resolve issues & implement new technologies Create and maintain technical documentation for processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and in-house policies and procedures
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications Bachelor's or Associate degree in computer science or equivalent work experience 3 years of data analysis experience (BI/data engineering or analytics platform delivery) Experience with Windows Server 2016+ and Windows 10\11 Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Applications Expert SQL skills (SQL Server strongly preferred) and data modeling (dimensional modeling/star schema) Strong Power BI experience (datasets, DAX, RLS, deployment practices, paginated reports preferred) Hands-on data integration experience (Azure Data Factory and/or SSIS; API ingestion experience a plus) Hybrid connectivity experience (on-prem gateways, secure integration patterns) Experience with governance; dataset certification, KPI management, lineage, access controls Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and communicate with executivesPreferred Experience:
Azure SQL Database and/or Azure Synapse experience Experience with SaaS ingestion tools (Fivetran/Airbyte) and/or event-driven patterns Familiarity with DevOps practices for BI (Git, CI/CD for pipelines/models where applicable) Experience establishing Power BI tenant governance and Center of Excellence practices Experience with Tableau, Salesforce, Sage or similar business softwareJob Type:
