Job Description

Data Analyst We are seeking a Data Analyst to conduct forensic analysis of inquiries related to the receipt, status, and outcome of vetting services provided to the traveling public. The Analyst will review and correlate information across multiple systems and data sources to reconstruct events, identify discrepancies and contributing factors, and develop evidence-based conclusions.

Working as part of an investigative analysis team, this analyst will manage a high-volume queue of inquiries in accordance with established processes and quality standards. The position requires strong analytical reasoning, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to clearly document and communicate investigative findings.

The Data Analyst will report to the Team Lead and collaborates with other functional teams and subject matter experts as needed.
Investigative Analysis:
  • Conduct structured, forensic analysis of inquiries related to vetting services, designations, and associated statuses.
  • Review and correlate information across multiple systems, data sources, and records to reconstruct activity and determine what occurred.
  • Identify discrepancies, contributing factors, and potential root causes using available evidence.
  • established investigative procedures and analytical methods to develop accurate, evidence-supported conclusions.
  • Distinguish between confirmed findings, potential contributing factors, and circumstances requiring additional analysis or escalation.
  • Identify recurring patterns or potential systemic issues and elevate significant findings to team leadership.
Case Management & Documentation:
  • Independently manage a high-volume queue of investigative inquiries while meeting established timeliness and quality expectations.
  • Maintain accurate case statuses and document investigative steps, evidence, findings, and conclusions in a consistent and traceable manner.
  • Prepare clear, concise summaries of investigative findings and resulting determinations.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved inquiries requiring additional information, specialized analysis, or stakeholder coordination.
  • Communicate findings to team leadership and relevant stakeholders as needed.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other functional teams to obtain information, validate findings, and resolve inquiries.
  • Coordinate with Data Analytics personnel when investigations require advanced analysis, aggregation, visualization, or repeatable analytical solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve investigative processes, analytical methods, documentation standards, and quality controls.
  • Support development and refinement of standard operating procedures, analytical frameworks, and opportunities for automation. Qualifications Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, business analytics, information systems, business administration, public administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Experience conducting investigative, root-cause, operational, business, or similar analytical work.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and correlate information from multiple sources and develop evidence-supported conclusions.
  • Strong analytical reasoning, problem-solving, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy and meeting established timelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly document analytical findings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting government programs, transportation or travel-related operations, vetting services, or other complex operational environments.
  • Experience performing forensic, investigative, root-cause, quality, or issue analysis.
  • Experience analyzing structured and unstructured information from multiple systems and sources.
  • Experience with analytical tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with process improvement, automation, or the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to analytical workflows.

Actual compensation will depend on a range of factors, including but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, location, other business and organizational needs, and applicable employment laws.
