SQL Python Full Job Description Position Overview:
This position will be an integral part of the Washington Commanders business intelligence team. The Analyst, Data Engineering will help refine the data environment to meet business needs, strategically solve problems, and achieve overall organizational objectives. The Analyst will work alongside members of the Business Intelligence department to help develop and maintain our business data warehouse. This includes managing connections to existing data sources, integrating new data sources, modeling current and historic data, developing logic to ensure clean data, as well as working to build out our reporting capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Understand the technical stack of the Commanders data environment to further develop, maintain, and troubleshoot data flows and models. Respond promptly and professionally to ad hoc requests from diverse departments within the organization. Design data models and structures to support modeling and reporting processes. Develop and maintain ETL processes via API from various sources into our data warehouse. Create and maintain documentation where appropriate - in code and about solution architecture. Conduct thorough testing and seamless implementation of changes within the data warehouse environment. Assist with internal web application development when needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field 2+ years experience in a related field Problem-solving capabilities to discover, address and resolve issues Exceptional communication skills with non-technical parties Strong understanding of SQL and Python Strong understanding of pros and cons of agentic coding tools and general AI capabilities Understanding of end-to-end software development and data pipeline best practices. Experience with Databricks and medallion process is a big plus Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus. Familiarity with Linux based servers is a plus
Salary Range:
