Job Overview:

The Sr. Analyst - Data Insights and Analytics supports Optum Workplace Well-being by collecting, validating, analyzing, and translating data into clear, actionable insights for the client's Benefits and Wellness priorities. This role is responsible for delivering accurate reporting, developing dashboards and analytical summaries, identifying trends and risks, and supporting data-informed recommendations. The role also contributes to population health initiatives by compiling and validating reporting inputs related to ROI, VOI, engagement, outcomes, and program performance. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and detail-oriented, with the ability to review complex information, identify meaningful patterns, and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. This individual should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities, and using AI-enabled tools and technology to improve analysis, reporting efficiency, and communication.

What you will do:

Data Collection, Validation, and Quality Control Collect, organize, validate, and reconcile data from internal teams, vendors, and client sources. Review source files and reports for completeness, accuracy, duplicate records, missing information, and inconsistencies. Document data validation findings, resolve routine discrepancies, and escalate data quality issues to the appropriate internal, vendor, or client contact. Analytics, Reporting, and Insight Development Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, risks, and opportunities that inform recommendations and follow-up actions. Prepare dashboards, reports, summaries, and presentations that translate findings into clear insights for decision-making. Support population health reporting by compiling and validating inputs related to ROI, VOI, engagement, outcomes, and program performance. Complete ad hoc analytics, compliance, vendor, population health, and business reporting requests as needed. Technology, Process Improvement, and Reporting Standards Use AI-enabled tools and technology to summarize information, identify patterns, streamline analysis, and improve reporting turnaround. Maintain reporting standards, document data definitions and processes, and recommend improvements to strengthen consistency and efficiency. Stakeholder Collaboration and General Support Partner with client stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to clarify needs, obtain inputs, and deliver analytics and reporting requests on time.

What we are looking for:

Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience managing datasets, performance reports, dashboards, analytical summaries, and operational trackers. Proficiency with visualization, business intelligence, or reporting platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools preferred. Skilled in assessing data quality by identifying inaccuracies, gaps, duplicate entries, and inconsistencies across multiple sources. Background supporting insight development, performance analysis, dashboard creation, or client service functions. Familiarity with population health, wellness metrics, ROI, VOI, engagement indicators, or outcomes evaluation. Strong organizational skills, including managing deadlines, tracking follow-up items, and presenting findings clearly. High attention to detail with a focus on accurate, well-organized, and easy-to-understand deliverables. Comfort working with multiple stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams. Ability to adapt into a fast-paced environment, shifting priorities, and emerging insights that require action.

Preferred but not required:

Experience using data storytelling to communicate insights, trends, and recommendations to leadership or non-technical audiences. Knowledge of benefits, wellness, fitness operations, population health, ROI, VOI, engagement, or outcomes measurement.
