Job Description

Data Analyst We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support purchasing and supply chain operations through data cleanup, validation, analysis, and system maintenance. This role will use Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Excel to improve purchasing data accuracy, maintain supplier and item information, and investigate the root causes of material shortages. Key Responsibilities Clean up and maintain purchasing records in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Analyze internal purchase orders and reschedule or cancel them based on current requirements. Add and maintain supplier promise dates for external purchase orders. Validate open-order details, including purchase order numbers, quantities, pricing, dates, and order status. Update item cards with vendor information, ordering parameters, and order modifiers. Analyze reported material and inventory shortages. Conduct root cause analysis using system transactions, demand changes, purchasing history, and supplier performance. Identify shortages caused by supplier misses, changes in demand, inaccurate system data, or transaction issues. Prepare reports and communicate findings, discrepancies, and recommended corrective actions to relevant stakeholders. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to data quality, purchasing processes, and supply chain visibility. Required Qualifications Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Working knowledge of ERP systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy. Ability to analyze transactional data and identify trends, discrepancies, and root causes. Strong organizational and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Previous experience in a supply chain function, such as planning, scheduling, purchasing, materials management, or inventory control. Experience analyzing purchasing, inventory, supplier, or demand data. Experience maintaining purchase orders, item master data, or supplier records.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
