3-4 out of 5 days/week) The Data Quality Analyst will review and analyze data. The Data Quality Analyst will create reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders and/or leadership and utilize findings to aid in decision-making. Reporting to the Associate Director of Data Quality, the Data Quality Analyst performs a variety of data processing, review, and maintenance activity to support development efforts for the Johns Hopkins Institutions. Additionally, the data quality analyst researches and reports on the status of critical data related to institutional donors and other constituents, and completes tasks related to development data quality initiatives.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data in accordance with applicable privacy laws such as
FERPA/HIPAA.
Communicate findings compellingly and visually through dashboards, reports, briefing decks, stories, scorecards, executive briefings, etc. For different audiences using solutions like Power BI and Tableau. Proofread and edit reports and other products to attain consistency of format. Regular outreach to offices to learn about upcoming surveys scheduled; maintain up to date documentation. Assist with the development of a detailed communication strategy and plan for the office/assigned area. Maintain office website and produce materials in coordination with the divisional communications team. Other duties as assigned. In addition to the duties described above, the Data Quality Analyst will: Oversee compliance of data flows into the advancement CRM against data quality standards. Observe patterns in data discrepancies from technical system errors or requests from business offices and alerts manager and/or suggests root cause analyses, customer communications, ticket request forms adjustments, and any other changes to streamline meeting the business needs. Use various software applications and databases to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports for mass data loads or revisions in the system. Maintain and build data quality dashboards in CRM to meet business needs of DAR. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Three years of related experience. Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education permitted by the JHU equivalency formula beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent Preferred Qualifications Experience using software for data analysis (Tableau, Power BI, Excel). JHU Equivalency Formula:
30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience.
