Back to Jobs Senior Data Analyst Apply Now Brisbane IT & Telecomms Data / Records Management ASAP Start | Short term contract Brisbane CBD | Hybrid Public Sector | Data & Analytics We're currently seeking an experienced Data & BI Consultant to join a high-profile government team on a short-term contract, supporting the delivery of critical data, reporting and analytics initiatives. This is a hands on role suited to a well-rounded data professional who can move confidently between data engineering, business intelligence, analysis and stakeholder engagement. You'll work with modern data platforms and collaborate with both technical and business teams to deliver high-quality, data-driven outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimise SQL solutions within Oracle environments
- Design and maintain ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines and integrations
- Work with Databricks, Apache Spark and Delta Lake technologies
- Build and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports and visualisations
- Conduct data profiling, validation, quality assurance and modelling activities
- Facilitate workshops and gather business and technical requirements
- Produce technical documentation, mappings and process specifications
- Support data governance, privacy and data management standards About You You are a technically strong and commercially minded Data & BI professional with the ability to translate business needs into practical data solutions. Comfortable working across the full data lifecycle, you bring a collaborative approach and thrive in fast-paced project environments. Essential Experience
- Strong SQL development experience, particularly Oracle
- Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark and Delta Lake
- Proven background in ETL/ELT development, data integration and pipelines
- Power BI dashboard and reporting development
- Data profiling, quality assessment, validation and modelling
- Requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement
- Technical documentation and process mapping
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments Highly Regarded
- Azure cloud experience
- Knowledge of data governance and metadata management
- Previous experience within government or large enterprise environments What's on Offer
