Job Description The Data Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing data visualizations and analytical tools to support operational performance and business decision-making. This role focuses on transforming complex datasets into actionable insights through dashboards, reporting, and trend analysis. The position requires a high level of technical expertise, independence, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports using data visualization tools Import, cleanse, validate, and transform datasets from multiple sources to ensure data accuracy and consistency Analyze trends, correlations, and performance drivers to support operational and strategic decision-making Present data through charts, graphs, and tables to communicate insights clearly Collaborate with operations, engineering, and continuous improvement teams to understand business needs Translate business questions into data-driven analytical solutions Ensure data integrity and maintain best practices for data governance and reporting Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and performance tracking Skills Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI and/or Spotfire Strong SQL skills for data querying, transformation, and validation Ability to analyze large and complex datasets and deliver actionable insights Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy Effective communication skills, with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Experience with Python and data platforms such as Databricks is a plus Familiarity with upstream oil and gas datasets (drilling & completions) is a plus Qualifications Typically requires advanced-level experience in data analysis or a related field Demonstrated expertise in data visualization, reporting, and analytics Professional certifications in data analytics or related disciplines are a plus Proven ability to manage multiple datasets and deliver high-quality analytical outputs Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate technical proficiency during the interview process
