Purpose:

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a Program Analyst (Modeling & Simulation - Space Training) to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Center of Excellence (COE) and Technical Center (TC) in Colorado Springs, CO . The ideal candidate has experience supporting DoD program lifecycles, software development, modeling and simulation, and system integration efforts within a fast-paced military program environment. Track, analyze, and report program cost, schedule, and performance metrics in support of DoD Software Acquisition and traditional acquisition pathways. Support management and tracking of program baselines across software development, modeling and simulation, and system integration efforts. Support Test & Evaluation (T&E) planning and track hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) integration activities. Coordinate with technical and cybersecurity leads to track Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements and milestones supporting Authority to Operate (ATO) accreditations for training networks and software applications. Coordinate software release schedules, Agile sprint milestones, configuration management activities, and technical dependencies across multidisciplinary engineering teams. Research, design, develop, update, and compile executive-level PowerPoint briefings, white papers, decision memorandums, and other program documentation. Translate complex technical and programmatic information into clear and concise materials for senior military and civilian leadership. Coordinate schedules for critical milestone reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), and key decision-making forums. Serve as a liaison and central point of contact between USASMDC COE, the Technical Center, execution contractors, and other program stakeholders. Identify and track program risks, schedule conflicts, dependencies, and other issues that may impact successful program execution. Provide additional programmatic, engineering, and administrative support as required.

Required Qualifications:

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Program Management, Computer Science, or a related technical or business discipline, or equivalent professional experience. Must have experience supporting DoD program lifecycles, including tracking cost, schedule, and performance baselines within a Software Acquisition, Modeling & Simulation (M&S), or similar technical program environment. Must have foundational knowledge of military Test & Evaluation (T&E) procedures and distributed simulation concepts. Must have a general understanding of the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Authority to Operate (ATO) processes. Must have experience developing executive-level PowerPoint briefings and written documentation for senior leadership. Must have the ability to translate technical concepts into clear and concise communications for technical and non-technical audiences. Must have strong research, analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Must have the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced military program office environment.

Desired Qualifications:

Prior experience supporting Space or High-Altitude operational areas, including High-Altitude Balloon (HAB) programs, preferred. Prior U.S. military experience, particularly Army Space experience, preferred. Experience working directly within a DoD program office or providing SETA support to a DoD customer, preferred. Familiarity with Army or Joint simulation and synthetic training environments, including Synthetic Training Environment (STE), Next Generation Constructive (NGC), or Joint Live Virtual Constructive (JLVC), preferred. Familiarity with distributed simulation protocols such as High Level Architecture (HLA), Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), or Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA), preferred. Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) applications, architectures, or tools used for predictive modeling, synthetic environment generation, or decision-support software, preferred.

Security Requirements:

Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance or an active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance upon selection.

Travel Requirements:

Minimal Travel; 10% or less If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:

Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods. Able to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time. Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Communicating with others to exchange information. Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
