Job Description AbbVies Operations Quality Data Analytics group is continuously innovating to empower the AbbVie network with superior Quality, Product, and Process analytics that enable data-driven insights and decision-making at every organizational level. This Data Scientist role will have wide-ranging analytics experience to work within a diverse Operations business. The Data Scientist will build and oversee the building of predictive/prescriptive models using statistical and machine-learning methodologies. The Data Scientist will also ensure end-to-end delivery of assigned data science applications, studies, and POCs through oversight of project teams and key technology partnerships. Consulting and collaboration skill sets are key to success in this role. This demanding role will have a highly visible impact to senior leaders across Operations. Operate cross-functionally in a highly collaborative manner with fellow data scientists, senior functional leaders, and business partners. Consult with business users in the analysis of requirements and recommend solutions which anticipate the future impact of changing business needs. Develop advanced data analytical models and techniques from supervised and unsupervised machine learning, statistical analysis, deep learning, predictive modeling, and Gen AI. Build relationships with stakeholders and collaborate with other statistical and data science teams in AbbVie while mentoring and coaching team members. Ensure that data presented to key stakeholders and presentations maintain study integrity. This role is required to support multiple use cases and should ensure that each work product is fit for purpose If assigned, participates in functional innovation and process improvement initiatives Ensures adherence to federal regulations and applicable local regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), ICH Guidelines, AbbVie Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and to functional quality standards. Stays abreast of new and/or evolving local regulations, guidelines and policies related to clinical development Responsible for coaching and mentoring junior team members Identify business needs and support the creation of standard KPIs, reports, and statistical analyses Qualifications Bachelors or Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, analytics, bioinformatics, data science or equivalent field with 4+ years (BS), 2+ years (MS) or 0+ years (PhD) of related experience Intermediate-level proficiency in R, Python or other statistical packages. Intermediate-level knowledge of statistical and data mining techniques Intermediate proficiency with visualization tools like PowerBI, Spotfire, Tableau or equivalent Intermediate proficiency with data science platforms like Dataiku, Snowflake, Databricks Experience with Machine Learning and other advanced analytics techniques preferred Demonstrated effective communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate analytical and technical concepts in laymans terms Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills Demonstrated history of successful execution in a fast-paced environment and in managing multiple priorities effectively Additional Information Applicable only to applicants applying to a position in any location with pay disclosure requirements under state orlocal law: The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Companybelieves ingood faith it will pay for this role at thetimeofthis posting based on the job grade for this position.
