Akkodis is seeking an Databricks Data Scientist for a Contract with a client in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable ML pipelines, enabling Databricks Genie-powered self-service analytics, and delivering actionable business insights through the Lakehouse platform.

Rate Range:

$37/Hour to $45/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Databricks Data Scientist Job Responsibilities include: Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models using Databricks, MLflow, Spark ML, and Python to support advanced analytics and AI initiatives. Build and maintain end-to-end ML pipelines, including data ingestion, model training, deployment, monitoring, and optimization. Leverage Databricks Lakehouse technologies such as Delta Lake and Unity Catalog to enable scalable, secure, and governed analytics solutions. Configure and enhance Databricks Genie capabilities by creating semantic layers and curated datasets for natural language-driven self-service analytics. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to identify use cases, ensure data quality, and deliver actionable insights. Optimize Spark workloads for performance and cost efficiency while applying best practices in data governance, security, and model lifecycle management.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. 4-6 years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, or related data-driven roles. Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and MLflow, including building and deploying production-grade machine learning solutions. Proficiency in Python (PySpark, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn), SQL, and experience implementing Databricks Genie-enabled self-service analytics and natural language query solutions.
