Job Description
Data Scientist Level IIIV
BTS Software Solutions is seeking a Data Scientist to perform data and computer science analysis in support of customer operations.
Primary Location:
Annapolis Junction, MDSecondary Locations:
Augusta, GA, San Antonio, TX, Oahu, HI, Various locationsClearance Requirement:
TS/SCI with PolySkills and Experience You'll Bring:
- Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering etc.
- Coding knowledge and experience with various languages: Python, Java, C, C++
- Experience as a Data Scientist working to support single or multiple domain areas
- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques. Specific Experience preferred:
- Experience in
Data Processing:
Data management and curation, data description and visualization, workflow and reproducibility- Experience in
Modeling, Inference, and Prediction:
Data modeling and assessment, domain-specific consideration.- Ability to use analytic modeling, statistical analysis, programming, and/or another appropriate scientific method, develop and implement qualitative and quantitative methods for characterizing, exploring, and assessing large datasets in various states of organization, cleanliness, and structure that account for the unique feature and limitations innt in National Agency data holdings.
- Ability to translate practical mission needs and analytic questions related to large datasets into technical requirements and, conversely, assist others with drawing appropriate conclusions from the analysis of such data.
Degree Requirement:
- Degree must be in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Operations Research, or Computer Science
