Position:
Data Scientist SME IIILocation:
Psychological Health Center of Excellence (PHCoE)
Work Environment:
Hybrid / Telework Eligible (Routine and situational telework is authorized. Facility space restrictions may necessitate part-time or full-time telework.)

TIER 2: Non-critical sensitive position (Must be able to obtain and maintain)

$90,000 - $125,000Knowesis is seeking an SME III - Data Scientist to apply advanced quantitative techniques, machine learning, and structured query languages to manage and analyze complex health data. This role builds the analytical foundation for the center's research and surveillance efforts.

The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Provide scientific analytical services related to data acquisition, management, and analysis according to approved protocols.
  • Use structured query language to generate analytic data files from multiple health and administrative data sources.
  • analytic approaches for continuous, categorical, and count distributions.
  • Maintain, study, and safeguard sensitive datasets in accordance with established privacy laws.
  • Create program syntax and run advanced models/analyses.
Required Qualifications:
  • Master's in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in data science or advanced analytics.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctorate degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • High-level proficiency in R, Python, SAS, and SQL.
  • Experience modeling large-scale healthcare claims or electronic health record (EHR) data.
