Job Description

Summary The MIL Corporation is seeking a Cyber Analyst/Modeler, Intermediate (Operations, Analyst) to support the daily operations of the NAVAIR Cyber Planning and Response Center (CPRC). The successful candidate will serve at the Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD. This position currently requires an on-site schedule with 5 days on-site with flexibility to support work hours during the handling of incidents. This position is eligible for Compressed Work Schedule (CWS). Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements. Responsibilities Apply analytical, operational, and coordination techniques to support command and control (C2), oversight, evaluation, and optimization of NAVAIR defensive cyber operations (DCO) related activities. Core labor activities include maintaining real-time situational awareness of the operational environment, triaging and managing the response to cyber incidents and directives, and conducting analyses to assess mission resilience under cyber-attack scenarios. This role is responsible for synthesizing qualitative cyber vulnerabilities and complex operational data into actionable situational awareness products, empowering senior leadership to make informed risk decisions, optimize defensive resource allocation, and evaluate course of action (COA) alternatives. By driving command and control (C2) and ensuring comprehensive oversight, the analyst provides the critical coordination required to evaluate and optimize NAVAIR defensive cyber operations (DCO) activities. Work on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and perform all functional duties independently May oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision-making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions May collect and analyze data and develop decision support software, services, or products May develop and supply optimal time, cost, or logistics networks for program evaluation, review, or implementation
Data Analysis:
gather, evaluate, and interpret data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement
Current Operations Optimization:
continual assessment of current operations to streamline processes, reduce redundancy, and improve productivity (may involve refining workflows and/or implementing new technologies)
Reporting and Documentation:
generate detailed reports to communicate findings, capability gaps and recommendations to stakeholders. Documentation is vital to tracking progress and ensuring situational awareness.
Project Management Support:
provide the necessary data and analyses to make informed decisions, to keep projects on track and within budget
Performance Monitoring:
establishing/improving key performance indicators (KPIs), Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs), Measures of Capability (MOCs) and other metrics to ensure effectiveness of implemented strategies
Collaboration:
work closely with various internal/external teams to ensure (1) alignment with overall organizational goals and (2) feasibility within different operational areas
Risk Management:
identifying/tracking potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure the organization is prepared for unforeseen challenges Perform trend analysis: gathering and interpreting data pinpointing inefficiencies collaborating with various internal/external teams to implement better processes, procedures and workflows Travel 10% to other sites, as required Required Qualifications Meet the identified CSWF qualification requirements by Education OR Training OR Certification AND has at least 3 years of experience performing work related to the labor category functional description Must have or must obtain qualifications aligned with one or more DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) roles—111, 461, 511, 541, 612, or 622—within 30 days of contract performance start. CWFModel Ability to interact and communicate with our customers and project/task sponsors Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance, team environment High degree of organizational and communication skills Desired Qualifications Prior experience working with Cyber Planning and Response Centers is preferred Knowledge of existing Cyber Planning and Response Centers policies, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) Experience in incident response coordination Experience in process improvement and policy development Familiarity with DoD Cyber Crime Center (DC3) and Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command (NCDOC) Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, if satisfying CSWF qualification requirements by education. Clearance All applicants for this position must possess a current Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility ; please note that the clearance process considers financial background aspects.
