USCIS - Data Scientist

Savvee Inc. is seeking a skilled Data Scientist to support our federal client onsite in Camp Springs, MD. The ideal candidate will transform complex program data into forward-looking insights to support operational planning and policy outcomes. They partner closely with program and technical teams to apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques and help leadership understand trends, value, and return on investment through clear, actionable analytics.

• Current or prior USCIS and/or DHS experience is preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Developing predictive models and workload forecasts.
• Building dashboards and analytics tools.
• Supporting analysis of mission-critical federal operational data.
• ing machine learning and statistical techniques when appropriate.
• Supporting Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking and Return on Investment (ROI) analysis.
• Performing additional duties as assigned in support of evolving contract requirements and client needs.
• Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client.
• Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support.

DESIRED EDUCATION AND TRAINING

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
• Data analytics or Machine Learning certifications
• Tableau / Power BI certifications
  

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Must have the ability to obtain the client's suitability
  
• Ability to undergo a background investigation and comply with the client's security and access requirements
  
• A proficiency in utilizing MS Office products
  
• Proven familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and responsible use of AI-assisted tools
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
• A highly motivated self-starter
  
• Must be motivated and have excellent customer service skills
  

DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Five or more years of data analytics experience
  
• Experience with Federal data, immigration, or identity systems
