Job DescriptionWe are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Analytical Sciences Data Review Group Leader to support GMP laboratory operations. This role combines hands-on data review responsibilities with team leadership, ensuring high-quality, compliant analytical data while mentoring and developing a high-performing team.

The ideal candidate brings strong cGMP experience, a deep understanding of analytical techniques, and a proactive leadership style focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

This is a Data Review role, rather than a Data Engineering role Key ResponsibilitiesData Review & ComplianceReview GMP analytical data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with governing proceduresVerify logbook entries for completeness and correctnessConfirm chain of custody integrity for all tested samplesReview audit trails to ensure proper execution and adherence to procedural timelinesCommunicate efficiently with laboratory personnel to resolve discrepancies, annotations, and correctionsApply Good Documentation Practices (GDP) in all records, including logbooks, notebooks, and electronic systemsPerform laboratory safety and compliance walkthroughs and document observationsComplete all required safety and procedural trainingsLeadership & Team ManagementLead, manage, and develop a team of data reviewersCoordinate team workload and ensure timely completion of deliverablesManage cross-training initiatives and team capacity planningTrack, monitor, and report productivity and quality metricsServe as a proactive and effective point of contact for client and internal teamsConduct routine safety walkthroughs and employee compliance checksParticipate in hiring, onboarding, and training of new team membersDeliver training programs for new hires and existing staffSupport scheduling needs, including overtime and weekend coverage as requiredQualificationsBS in Chemistry or related field2+ years of cGMP experience + 2+ years of leadershipExperience with HPLC/UPLC, UV-Vis, and LC data analysisExposure to ELISA, MCE, or iCIEFStrong communication, organization, and attention to detailHigh integrity with a focus on data quality and complianceAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work independently or on a teamAble to lift 25 lbs and stand/walk for extended periodsMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorshipAdditional InformationThis is a full-time, 100% onsite position based on a first-shift schedule (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm), with overtime required as needed. Candidates located within a commutable distance to Rensselaer, New York, are strongly encouraged to apply.
