We offer career opportunities where you can contribute and grow. Build your future with us Our small business analytics department is currently seeking a Modeling Analyst. The role is responsible for researching business challenges and applying data, analytics, and predictive modeling techniques to help improve underwriting, pricing, claims, and operational decision-making to support profitable growth. This position is based at our Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio. The pay range for this position is $70,000 - $125,000.00 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
Be ready to:
collaborate with actuarial, analytics, underwriting, claims, and data engineering teams to solve business problems using data-driven approaches conduct research and exploratory analyses to support model development and business decision making compile, query, and validate large datasets for actuarial and predictive modeling applications develop, validate, and maintain predictive models using established modeling best practices evaluate model performance and communicate findings through clear visualizations, reports, and presentations document modeling projects thoroughly to ensure transparency, repeatability, and compliance with modeling standards Be equipped with: knowledge of predictive modeling methodologies and model development best practices practice in applying statistical, machine learning, predictive modeling, or analytical techniques to solve business problems strong analytical and technical skills, including data querying, statistical modeling, and use of tools such as SAS, R, Python, and Microsoft Office effective written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate actuarial analyses through reports, charts, and stakeholder discussions Bring education or experience from: a master's, or doctoral degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or equivalent (required) foundational knowledge of Property & Casualty (P&C) actuarial methods, insurance coverages, and insurance company operations (preferred) business coursework (preferred) Enhance your talents Providing outstanding service and developing strong relationships with our independent agents are hallmarks of our company.
