  • OSAAVA Services ## Position Overview OSAAVA Services is seeking a
  • Senior Infrared (IR) Signature & Plume Modeling Analyst
  • to support Persistent Infrared (PIR) analysis and modeling activities at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). This position is intended for a highly specialized technical professional with direct experience analyzing infrared target signatures, observed phenomenology, and plume characteristics using empirical and modeled data. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with
  • PIR target intensity signatures, IR signature phenomenology, plume-modeling codes, and technical analysis of sensor-derived data
  • in support of defense or intelligence missions. ## What You'll Do
  • Analyze
  • Persistent Infrared (PIR) target intensity signatures
  • and associated observed phenomena.
  • Develop plume models using empirical and modeled data.
  • Perform special-case plume modeling and technical analysis.
  • Use community-standard plume-modeling codes to analyze IR signatures and target-related phenomena.
  • Study target-related
  • infrared signature phenomenology
  • using relevant
NASIC/GSPM
datasets.
  • Apply plume-modeling codes and analytical tools to characterize target signatures and observed behavior.
  • Develop technical reports documenting analysis methodologies and results.
  • Produce supporting data packages and modeling code input/output files.
  • Translate complex signature and modeling results into technically defensible analytical products. ## Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Direct experience analyzing
  • Persistent Infrared (PIR)
  • target intensity signatures.
  • Experience analyzing infrared signatures and associated observed phenomenology.
  • Hands-on experience developing or evaluating
  • plume models
  • .
    • Experience working with empirical and modeled datasets.
    • Experience using plume-modeling codes and associated analytical tools.
    • Experience producing technical reports and supporting analytical data packages.
    • Ability to work on-site at NASIC in the Dayton, Ohio area. ## Highly Relevant Experience Candidates with experience involving any of the following are strongly aligned with this requirement:
    • Persistent Infrared (PIR)
    • Infrared (IR) signature analysis
    • Plume modeling
    • Missile or target signature analysis
    • IR phenomenology
    • NASIC
    • GSPM datasets
    • MASINT
    • EO/IR analysis
    • Signature modeling and analysis
    • Defense or intelligence-community modeling environments ## Who We're Looking For This is not a general modeling-and-simulation or data-analysis position. We're looking for someone who has worked directly with
    • infrared target signatures and plume/signature modeling
    • and understands how modeled and empirical sensor data are used to characterize target behavior.
