JOB TITLE
Principal BI Engineer
LOCATION
Plano, TX (hybrid role, may work from home)
DUTIES:
Perform gap analysis, design and develop various analytical reports; interact with business users, understand existing business models and client's requirements, review business requirements and analyze data sources; work with stakeholders and deliver actionable insights that drive informed decision making; maintain business processes and cross functional relationships; write test scripts, Tableau reports, and dashboards; work on testing, processing and debugging, performance issues; coordinate new data development and create proof of concepts; develop data pipelines in Alteryx; design, develop, deploy and support sustainable Alteryx workflows and solutions to cleanse, blend, and transform raw data from multiple sources into actionable insights; identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to streamline data processing and analysis; design and implement automated processes using Alteryx to improve efficiency and scalability of data workflows; implement advanced data manipulation techniques to handle complex data structures, outliers, and missing values; collaborate with cross functional teams to align deliverables and workstream plans; prepare and present technical documentation and client presentations; create compelling visualizations and interactive dashboards using Alteryx and other BI tools to communicate insights and trends effectively.
REQUIREMENTS
Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science and Analytics, or a related field, and 4 years of experience in the job offered or as a BI Analyst/Engineer, Data Scientist/Analyst, Systems Engineer/Consultant, or in a related/similar position performing data modelling, using SQL, Python, and Tableau or PowerBI. In lieu of a Master's degree and 4 years of experience, employer will accept a Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in the fields stated above and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the skill sets stated above. Experience therein to include 2 years with Alteryx, PL/SQL, Redshift, and PySpark; and 1 year with Databricks. Hybrid role, ability to work from home.
