Position Summary:

As a Sr BI Engineer within the Pharmacy Services Finance Intelligence organization, you will operate as a trusted analytical advisor to the CFO organization — proactively surfacing what matters most in the business's financial data and translating it into insight, recommendations, and a clear call to action, delivered through the medium that best drives the decision. You'll dive deep into CVS Health's data, applying sound research, statistical reasoning, and business judgment to influence tactical and strategic decisions across the enterprise. You'll distill complex, cross-functional analytics into curated, decision-ready insight, communicating it in the language and format each audience needs, across all levels of the organization. And you'll help shape how the team works alongside AI-enabled conversational and agentic analytics tools, evolving how insight gets discovered, validated, and delivered.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities in the data, distilling them into curated, decision-ready insight and advocating for the recommended action — tailoring the narrative to audiences across all levels of the organization
  • Explore and adopt AI-enabled conversational and agentic analytics capabilities, helping evolve how the team surfaces and delivers insight beyond traditional dashboarding
  • Partner with Finance stakeholders to anticipate analytical needs before they're formally requested, shaping priorities around where insight can have the greatest business impact
  • Partner with Analytics Engineering colleagues, providing subject matter expertise across the project lifecycle — scope, architecture, deliverables, acceptance, and deployment — to develop analytics products effectively and efficiently
  • Blend and integrate massive amounts of data from disparate sources to design and engineer holistic semantic layer data sources that can be used across multiple solutions
  • Ensure developed solutions are of sound quality, consistently available, and performing to expectations, driving continuous improvement by automating and streamlining technical processes
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, driving design and code quality through Peer Design and Code Reviews Additional Information

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exceptional written and oral communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex analytical findings into clear, decision-ready narratives for audiences across all levels of the organization
