ORA_REMOTE Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with strong hands-on experience in Java application development, AWS cloud migration, and AI model integration or development. The ideal candidate will design, develop, modernize, and migrate enterprise applications to cloud-based environments while leveraging AI capabilities to enhance automation, intelligence, and system performance. This role requires deep technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to work on complex, mission-critical systems. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and services. Lead or support the migration of applications from on-premises or legacy environments to AWS cloud. Analyze existing systems and define migration strategies, including rehosting, replatforming, refactoring, or modernization as appropriate. Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, EKS, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation. Implement cloud-native and microservices-based architectures. Integrate AI models or AI-enabled services into applications to support intelligent automation, analytics, or decision-making. Collaborate with architects, engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions. Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and integration issues across development, testing, and production environments. Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and security. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices. Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for application deployment and release management. Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical planning sessions. Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, with minimum 12 years of experience or 8 years of experience with master's degree Strong hands-on experience in Java development, including object-oriented design and enterprise application development. Proven experience with AWS cloud migration projects. Solid understanding of cloud architecture, deployment patterns, and AWS best practices. Experience working with REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems. Familiarity with AI models, machine learning concepts, or AI-powered application integration. Experience with version control, CI/CD tools, and agile development practices. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Selected candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance Preferred Qualifications Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, JPA, or Spring Cloud. Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform. Experience with AI/ML platforms, model deployment, prompt engineering, or generative AI services. Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, encryption, and compliance requirements. Experience modernizing legacy monolithic applications into cloud-native architectures. Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, or Datadog.
Target salary range:
