Overview VTG is looking for a Data Scientist in Chantilly, VA.Data Scientist I supports government and program teams by assisting with data analysis, visualization, and reporting to inform mission, operational, and business decisions under senior supervision. What will you do? Support collection, cleaning, and preparation of structured and semistructured data
Assist with exploratory data analysis and basic statistical assessments
Develop simple dashboards, visualizations, and analytical summaries
Support documentation of data sources, assumptions, and methodologies
Participate in analytic working groups and technical discussions
Assist with maintaining data pipelines, scripts, and analysis artifacts
Support coordination between data engineers, analysts, and mission stakeholders Do you have what it takes? TS/SCI with Poly Required
1-4 years of experience supporting data analysis or analytics projects
Familiarity with Python, R, SQL, or similar analytical tools
Familiarity with tools such as Jupyter, Tableau, Power BI, or similar
Basic understanding of statistics and data visualization
Strong analytical and communication skills
Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting federal, DoD, or IC programs, Exposure to mission, operational, or enterprise data sets, Familiarity with tools such as Jupyter, Tableau, Power BI, or similar (

Pay Range:
VTG's estimated starting pay range is $105,000 - $215,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
