Job Description
Overview VTG is looking for a Data Scientist in Chantilly, VA. Data Scientist II independently performs data analysis and modeling to support mission outcomes, providing actionable insights to government and program leadership. What will you do? Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights Develop and apply statistical models or machine learning techniques as appropriate Design and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and analytic products Translate mission or business questions into analytic approaches and outputs Validate data quality, assumptions, and model results Present findings and recommendations to technical and non‑technical stakeholders Support integration of analytics into operational or decision‑support workflows Do you have what it takes? TS/SCI with Poly Required 5-9 years of experience in data analytics or data science roles Strong proficiency with Python or R and SQL Experience with statistical analysis, modeling, or machine learning techniques Strong written and verbal communication skills Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
