Job Description
Overview:
The Onin Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Specialist to support daily operations at our Woodstock, AL warehouse. This role is ideal for an up-and-coming automotive engineer or an individual with experience in warehouse operations, supply chain, or automotive logistics. As a Data Specialist, you'll help develop tools, reports, and data solutions that improve visibility and efficiency across the supply chain. You'll work with existing data sets, analyze business requirements, improve databases, and create solutions that help the team spend less time collecting data and more time taking action.Your responsibilities will include:
Develop tools that improve transparency across the supply chain Improve data storage, accessibility, and processing strategies Reduce manual data collection efforts and improve overall data flow Analyze and optimize databases to improve runtime efficiency and reduce application and server issues Partner with IT to create sustainable support structures for developed tools Identify data patterns and trends that help answer business questions and support better decision-making Gather and analyze data requirements Develop and enhance logical and physical databases and data models Improve database scalability, performance, and reliability Follow all required safety practices, procedures, and training requirementsSkills and Experience:
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Technology/Management, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience - up to 2 years of professional experience in Data Science or Data Analysis Proficiency in Python Proficiency in Excel and Access, including VBA Strong knowledge of database technologies Solid programming, system design, and systems analysis skills Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across different levels of an organization Ability to organize and lead projects and meetings through next steps and conclusionsBenefits:
