Student Records Specialist091726-002C Eastern Florida State College is currently seeking applications for the full-time position of Student Records Specialist on the Cocoa Campus in Cocoa, Florida. The Student Records Specialist will process a variety of complex student records related to grades, withdrawals, enrollment verification, college transcripts, and student record updates with a focus on critical thinking, strict attention to detail and accurate data entry. This position will answer phones and emails. In addition, the Student Records Specialist will perform ongoing student record maintenance and record audits to ensure accuracy, integrity and compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, accreditor standards and College policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Associates degree from a regionally accredited institution. Minimum of two years of records maintenance experience, preferably in an educational institution Valid Florida Drivers' License Computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Proficiency with database reporting tools, video-conferencing and scanning software preferred. Knowledge and skills in using a software platform (i.e., Banner, PeopleSoft, etc.) designed to manage student data within an educational institution preferred. Interpersonal, organizational and time management skills Works well under pressure - forward thinking, student-centered and solution-oriented. Exercise adaptability to handle changes in procedures, policies, organizational structures, and emerging issues. Attention to detail and accuracy, sound problem-solving skills, flexibility Use knowledge and logic to resolve issues and respond to complex requests. A review of Social Media activity will be part of the candidate evaluation process. This position will require fingerprinting and the candidate chosen will be required to pay the associated fee (currently $36.00). This fingerprinting fee ($36.00) is non-refundable. •High School Diploma or GED or transcripts or official transcripts of all collegiate work (as appropriate for the position) must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment. All foreign degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc.

Minimum physical qualifications:

Communicate both orally and in writing. Occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move up to 40 pounds. Access, input and retrieve information and/or data from a computer. Works inside in an office environment. The annual salary is $32,565.67. Successful internal candidates for external job postings should be aware that their current salary does not transfer to the new position. Salary will be as advertised in the job announcement. Full-time employees of Eastern Florida State College receive fringe benefits including health insurance and a retirement plan.
