We are seeking a Clinical Data Specialist to join our team in Chicago. • Healthcare analytics What you would do Typical responsibilities could include: Designing and building data pipelines that extract, transform and load clinical data from multiple sources Implementing data quality checks and validation frameworks to ensure accuracy and completeness of healthcare datasets Managing ETL processes and data warehouse operations supporting clinical analytics and research Collaborating with clinical research teams, data analysts and IT stakeholders to define data requirements Documenting data lineage, transformations and quality standards for audit and compliance purposes Troubleshooting data pipeline failures and optimizing performance across healthcare systems Contributing to SQL query development and performance tuning for analytics platforms What you could bring Most roles of this type require the following: Must-have 5 to 10 years' experience in clinical data engineering, healthcare data management, or related data pipeline roles Demonstrated expertise in designing, building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL workflows Strong SQL proficiency and hands-on experience with data transformation and quality assurance Working knowledge of healthcare data standards, data governance and HIPAA compliance requirements Experience with data quality frameworks, validation testing and anomaly detection Familiarity with healthcare analytics tools or data visualization platforms Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Life Sciences, Data Science or related field Authorization to work in the United States Nice-to-have HIPAA Compliance Certification or Clinical Research Coordinator (ACRP) certification Experience with cloud-based data platforms or healthcare-specific analytics tools Background in clinical research, medical informatics or healthcare IT Master's degree in a related discipline What roles of this type could offer Most roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role: The opportunity to contribute to healthcare systems that support clinical research and patient outcomes Scope to build and optimize data infrastructure that enables evidence-based decision-making Potential for professional development in healthcare data engineering and analytics Contract flexibility and day rate compensation of $560 - $800 per day Exposure to regulated healthcare environments and compliance best practices Collaborative work with clinical and technical teams across the organization About Specialist Staffing Group We are a leading recruitment partner specializing in placing skilled professionals across healthcare, technology and regulated industries.
