Position Function:
The Data Management Specialist supports the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of alumni and donor information through constituent record maintenance, data processing, and routine data stewardship activities. This position performs a variety of data entry, record management, and batch processing functions that support Shared Advancement Services. The Data Management Specialist works closely with Data Services staff to ensure constituent information is maintained in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.Salary Grade :
11 Please see Staff Compensation Structure for salary ranges.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Process constituent information updates, including biographical, demographic, employment, affiliation, and contact information changes 2. Create new constituent and organization records and maintain existing records within Blackbaud CRM and related systems 3. Process assigned batches and data loads in accordance with established procedures and quality standards 4. Review, research, and update constituent records using information received through online forms, departmental requests, returned correspondence, and other approved sources 5. Research and process deceased constituent notifications 6. Support data integrity efforts through constituent verification, record cleanup, data enrichment projects, address updates, and the resolution of incomplete, inaccurate, or duplicate records 7. Assist with annual and recurring Data Services projects, including large-scale record maintenance, verification, and data update initiatives 8. Support maintenance of departmental procedures and documentation by identifying needed updates and providing feedback regarding existing processes 9. Assist with training student workers on routine data entry and record maintenance procedures 10. Maintain a high level of accuracy and completeness in assigned work while adhering to departmental data standards and procedures 11. Perform other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:
1. High School diploma or equivalent 2. Two years of data entry or related experience- or•Any equivalent combination of related experience and/or education approved by the Department of Human Resources Management.

- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail required
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to manage/coordinate multiple tasks Working Conditions and Physical Effort Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
