Position Purpose The purpose of the Database Specialist is to ensure a seamless flow of database information throughout the organization, effectively capturing information and generating accurate reports. The position is responsible for the management of critical data contained in the Relationship Management System (RMS), currently Blackbaud Raiser's Edge or RE. This includes creating and implementing standardized database policies, overseeing installation, upgrades, security, site maintenance, data integrity, staff training, and the development and management of new and ongoing protocols and processes. This position also administers RMS data entry and assists with other day-to-day administrative functions. Examples of Specific Duties and Responsibilities Record importing, exporting, activity reporting and extracting data. This includes data entry and transfer of information from paper into electronic system. Manage and keep data clean and updated by following set data entry protocols, expanding notes and opportunities, removing duplicate records, tracking individual relationships, and running queries and exports. Perform regular database audits and cleanup of information to maintain consistency and data integrity. Analyze current practices and procedures. Develop and implement process improvement, data entry standards and best practice guidelines. Ensure adherence to these standards. Assist with daily gift entry, receipting, reporting, coding and acknowledgement as needed. Assist Development Team with volunteer and event tracking, mail and email lists Manage Merchant Services for processing gifts online. Currently services through Blackbaud Merchant Services (BBMS). Conduct data research and perform data analysis as needed. Manage users and content for NCF's online database platform for Fund Advisory Committee members, currently called NCF Connect. Provide training and support for all staff using Blackbaud Software (RE, FE, FE NXT, RE NXT, Etc.). This may include creating training and process guides and navigating Blackbaud Knowledgebase. Keep all (electronic and physical) documentation organized to be easily accessible by all users. Serve as back-up to office administrative staff. This includes fielding incoming calls responding to email enquiries and other duties as assigned. Education, Skills and/or Experience Associates degree required, equivalent experience will be considered Minimum of two years Customer Relations Management (CRM) software experience. Raiser's Edge RE and NXT experience preferred. Proficient in computer applications, including Word, Excel, Adobe. Strong organization and communication skills. Superior attention to detail. Works collaboratively with teammates. Have ownership of the work performed. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines. Other Nebraska Community Foundation is based in Lincoln, NE with remote employees located across the state. This position is based in Lincoln, Nebraska. This position requires occasional travel throughout the State Excellent attendance and timeliness are required. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
