We do this by providing affordable housing solutions and supportive services. The Data Management Specialist is a crucial position within the Good Samaritan team. This role is responsible for coordinating all data and tracking systems related to our programs and grants. Responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy of data collection, monitoring, analysis, and reporting for multiple programs. This role will also establish and oversee processes and procedures for grant tracking and reporting, collaborating with our staff to streamline efforts. Accurate data management is pivotal in supporting the organization's decision-making process and securing support to fund efforts to end poverty and homelessness. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and possesses strong analytical skills. This position will primarily be onsite at our Holland office, with the possibility of a hybrid schedule after the initial new employee review period. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Data Management, Planning, and Reporting Responsible for entering accurate and timely client information into specialized databases Generates timely and accurate reports per agency need Create and implement a plan for tracking, evaluating, and reporting on program outcomes Work with staff to correct data errors and quickly resolve input or reporting problems Act as Agency Administrator for Homeless Management and Information System (HMIS), attend all CoC HMIS meetings and update staff on data input, errors, or reporting changes Organize and maintain a timeline for housing grant reporting and financial reconciliation Create and implement client feedback surveys and use information to improve client outcomes Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and provide recommendations for improving data tracking, collection, and reporting Team Collaboration Collaborate with program and admin staff to ensure data and tracking needs are met Assist with onboarding of new programs, including creating documents and tracking systems Act as main point of contact for external HMIS homeless service agencies Compliance and Administrative Enrolls staff in appropriate systems and tracks and updates licensures Ensure staff compliance with multiple database systems and gather and maintain all required
MSHDA/HUD
licensure documents for housing departmental programs Participate in professional development trainings and utilize new skills to benefit department Maintain confidentiality and privacy practices in accordance with agency expectations Adheres to all grant and agency requirements for data management and collection Actively participate in supervision Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) At least 2 years of experience in data management and tracking.

  • Experience in a non-profit organization
  • Prior experience working with HMIS database a plus
  • Some college in a related field Physical Demands and Work Environment The Data Management Specialist works in a professional office environment.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc., and must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time, and occasionally lift and move 25lb boxes unassisted. Employee will also constantly operate office machinery such as telephones, computers, copy machines and calculators, and will frequently learn new information and communicate accurate details in person and over the phone.
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
