Data Quality Specialist (on-site) Alexandria, VA $45 — $55 Posted 3 weeks ago Alexandria, VA 22314, USA Data Quality Specialist (Temporary Contract | Hybrid | Alexandria, VA) About the Opportunity A well-established membership-based organization in Alexandria, Virginia is seeking a Data Quality Specialist to support a critical database remediation project following the implementation of a new Association Management System. This individual will play a key role in researching, validating, and consolidating duplicate constituent records while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of membership and organizational data. If you enjoy solving data challenges, improving data quality, and working independently in a structured environment, this could be an excellent short-term opportunity. Responsibilities Review and analyze duplicate constituent records Determine appropriate master records and merge duplicates Validate memberships, affiliations, contact information, historical activity, and related data Use Excel to track and manage remediation efforts Maintain documentation of merge decisions and exceptions Escalate complex issues for review Support data quality and governance initiatives Qualifications 2+ years of experience working with an AMS, CRM, or membership database platform Experience with systems such as iMIS, Personify, Fonteva, Nimble AMS, Dynamics 365, Raiser's Edge, Cobalt, or similar platforms Strong understanding of data relationships and record management Experience identifying and resolving duplicate records Advanced attention to detail and analytical thinking Strong Excel skills Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively Preferred Experience Association, nonprofit, or membership organization experience Data governance experience Large-scale data cleanup projects Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Cobalt AMS experience Position Details Temporary assignment (3-4 weeks) Hybrid work schedule Alexandria, VA location Approximately 87.5 project hours anticipated Target start date: Late August Business casual environment Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys data cleanup, can work through records methodically, and understands how data relationships impact the bigger picture.
