In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the infrastructure that keeps our data centers running smoothly. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security of critical network and hardware systems. Responsibilities Install, configure, and troubleshoot network equipment including Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and Ethernet switches to ensure robust connectivity. Perform fiber splicing and cabling tasks using hand tools and power tools, adhering to industry standards such as NEC and TIA specifications. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on computer hardware, servers, and telecommunication equipment to minimize downtime. Assist with low voltage wiring, cable management (Cat5, Cat6), and schematics interpretation for efficient system setup and upgrades. Monitor CCTV systems for security purposes and support field service activities related to network installation and equipment maintenance. Utilize testing tools such as ohmmeters to verify electrical connections and troubleshoot electrical issues within the data center infrastructure. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with team members and clients regarding technical issues or project updates. Experience Proven experience as a Service Technician or Field Service Technician in data centers or telecommunications environments. Strong background in computer networking, including LAN setup, Ethernet cabling, VoIP systems, and telephony solutions like Avaya. Hands-on experience with telecommunication standards (NEC), low voltage wiring, fiber splicing, and electrical troubleshooting. Familiarity with network protocols and equipment from Cisco, Juniper, and other major vendors. Demonstrated ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and wiring diagrams accurately. Prior work involving equipment repair, power tools usage, and electrical safety practices in a data center or similar setting is highly desirable.
