Certified Scissor Lift Operator- Meta Data Center Awesome Services Inc Montgomery, AL Job Details Temporary | Full-time | Contract $23 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications Federal construction safety regulations Training program Outdoor work experience Construction industry experience Lifts and hoists Scissor Lift Certification Materials handling Working on construction projects Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description Overview We are currently hiring 2 certified Scissor Lift Operators for the Meta data center construction project. Candidates must have experience operating scissor lifts safely in active construction environments and be comfortable working at heights. This position will primarily involve cleaning high areas, including ceilings, overhead structures, vents, piping, and other elevated surfaces within a commercial construction site. Additional general labor and construction cleaning duties may also be assigned as needed. The project is expected to last approximately one year. Responsibilities Safely operate scissor lifts to perform tasks at elevated heights, ensuring stability and control at all times Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment, checking for mechanical issues and safety features before each shift Follow all safety protocols and site-specific procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment Assist with material handling, positioning tools, and supplies using the lift as needed on-site Communicate effectively with team members and site supervisors to coordinate lift operations and project timelines Maintain detailed logs of daily operations, inspections, and any maintenance or issues encountered Clean high areas including ceilings, beams, vents, piping, and overhead surfaces Follow all OSHA and site safety requirements The project is expected to last approximately one year. Qualifications Valid certification as a Scissor Lift Operator from a recognized training program Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with construction environments and safety practices Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, and maneuvering in various weather conditions Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites Comfortable working at heights for extended periods Reliable transportation Join us in delivering exceptional results on construction projects by operating equipment safely and efficiently!
