Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Database Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing complex database systems that support our data-driven initiatives. Your expertise will ensure high availability, performance, and security of our databases across various platforms and environments. Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement robust database architectures that meet business requirements and support scalable system development. Perform performance tuning and optimization of databases such as MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, DynamoDB, and others to enhance system uptime and efficiency. Manage database security, backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability. Develop and maintain stored procedures, scripts (Bash/Unix shell/Python), and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using tools like SSIS and Talend for seamless data integration. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, create detailed data models, and translate business needs into technical specifications. Monitor system performance using data analytics tools; troubleshoot issues proactively; implement improvements in infrastructure architecture design. Maintain version control of database scripts; manage query optimization; ensure compliance with best practices in relational database design and system security. Skills Experience with relational databases. Strong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Java, scripting for automation and system management tasks. Expertise in performance tuning techniques to improve system uptime through database tuning strategies. Knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS or Azure for cloud development and deployment of database solutions. Familiarity with data modeling principles; ability to design efficient data models aligned with system requirements. Experience with ETL tools like SSIS or Talend for data integration; understanding of data recovery procedures. Skills in infrastructure architecture design; ability to develop scalable solutions that meet evolving business needs. Analysis skills to interpret complex data sets; capability to optimize query management and stored procedures for maximum efficiency. Understanding of version control systems; experience managing software implementation within a collaborative environment.
