Job Description
## Standard Job Description Selected applicant will be assigned to Palmdale (Fort Worth, or Marietta potential) and support classified programs as the Maintenance and Logistics Information System expert. Primary responsibility includes database management to include in-depth use and troubleshooting of relational databases. Daily tasks will include but are not limited to: (1) Database management / administration / troubleshooting , (2) Working with field engineers, logistics / procurement personnel and subcontractors to ensure timely and proper processing of logistics, maintenance and operational events that will result in the successful delivery of database derived contractual deliverables and to ensure the database is fully operational 24/7/365 (3) Directly interfacing with internal and external customers at various levels to answer sustainment related questions and provide as required and remedial task oriented training, (4) Providing database training to maintenance and logistics personnel, (5) Performing data integrity audits, (6) Analyzing data and reporting / briefing performance metrics, (7) Evaluating compliance with customer security requirements. Implements and maintains smooth operation and physical design of databases. Reviews database design and integration of systems, provides backup recovery and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements. Maintains security and integrity controls. Participate in the successful formulation of policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, user events processing and monitors transaction activity and utilization.
Responsibilities include:
database loading; development and management of operational procedures, to include user training; environment management; database health (e.g. monitoring, proactive and reactive responses); resource planning; database upgrade planning; backup and recovery strategy planning and implementation; environment transition planning (development, test, stage, production). ## Basic Qualifications- Experience with database mapping to external sources like
MS ACCESS
- Aircraft sustainment/maintenance experience
- Oracle / SQL administration
- Performance monitoring / tuning, backups, & disaster recovery
- Experience with creating active links, user forms and process routines within tools like
MS ACCESS
- Active Secret Clearance ## Desired Skills
- Active Top Secret Clearance
- Willing to adjust work hours to include weekend work to accommodate system updates and troubleshooting (as required)
- Previous back end experience with CAMS, IMDS, NALCOMIS, ALIS, IMIS or other Maintenance and Logistics systems
- Multi-tasking skills and strong communications skills
- Self-starter with the ability to make decisions using critical thinking
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range:
$95900.00- $178100.
