Onsite Schedule:
Full-Time Contract | Hours may fall between 7:00 AM-7:00 PM, with occasional Saturday/on-call coverage

Long-Term Contract with Potential for Renewal Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator to support a large-scale enterprise technology environment in Tallahassee, Florida. This is a highly technical, hands-on DBA position with a strong focus on DB2 for z/OS and mainframe environments , along with SQL Server, Oracle, and supporting infrastructure technologies. The Senior DBA will be responsible for database administration, architecture, performance, reliability, and operational support while working alongside other technical resources to maintain and improve a complex enterprise data environment. Key Responsibilities Perform daily database administration and operational support across
DB2, SQL
Server, Oracle, and related database environments. Plan, design, implement, and support enterprise database structures. Monitor database health, availability, and performance. Perform database performance analysis and tuning. Support DB2 for z/OS , including upgrades, catalog maintenance, application integration, and point-in-time recovery. Assist with database and data architecture design across multiple platforms and computing environments. Develop and maintain database administration procedures, standards, and technical documentation. Conduct SQL code reviews and recommend performance or design improvements. Support infrastructure implementation planning, change management, verification testing, and disaster recovery. Work with development, infrastructure, and application teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Assist with training and mentoring other technical staff. Ensure database architecture and operations meet applicable security and technology standards. Required Experience 15+ years of combined database administration experience across: DB2 for z/OS Microsoft SQL Server Oracle Advanced experience administering DB2 in a z/OS/mainframe environment . Advanced knowledge of DB2 application integration and performance management. Experience performing DB2 for z/OS upgrades. Experience with DB2 catalog maintenance and point-in-time recovery. Strong knowledge of JCL and the z/OS platform . Experience using and interpreting DB2 and z/OS monitoring tools. Experience with technical infrastructure implementation and change management. Working knowledge of disaster recovery requirements and processes. Technical Skills Candidates should have experience with many of the following technologies: Mainframe / z/OS DB2 for z/OS z/OS

Strong communication, problem-solving, leadership, customer service, and mentoring skills are important for success in this role. This position is onsite in Tallahassee, Florida.
