The position is located in Tallahassee, Florida and work is onsite . Sr. Database Administrator The consultant will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, amendments and optimization of the schema to meet system(s) requirements. The candidate must be able to understand and demonstrate the ability to develop database and warehousing design across multiple platforms and computing environments. The candidate must be able to work as part of a team to assist in developing an overall data architecture that supports the client's needs and meets the client's security standards.
Responsibilities:
This consultant will primarily be tasked with performing Database (DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, GIS) planning and operational activities including, but not limited to the following: Daily operational and database administration activities Plan, design, implement, support for database structures Conduct database performance monitoring and tuning Develop and maintain database administration procedures and documentation Perform SQL Code reviews Assist with training/mentoring other technical staff. Consultant may also be required to perform other database or infrastructure activities as requested Potential candidate must possess the following: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
